Can the red circles or moles of skin cancer appear on other parts of the body, other than the face, the leg?

I have a small red rash on my leg that just appeared out of nowhere. In the rash, there are multiple bright red dots. I just noticed it today, so i don’t know how long i’ve had it. It is slightly bumpy, but very little. Also, some of my family memebers were at risk of skin cancer. I know very little about skin cancer, but i’m starting to research it , but there is nothing on rashes on other parts of the body. please help me out and tell me if i’m just exaggerating or if its something i should worry about.

cherry angiomas – removal in teens/young adults?

don’t mean to be age-discriminatory, lol – i know virtually everyone gets them as they age, but i’m looking to hear from as many younger people as possible who have actually had one removed or parents of teens that have, as my 16yr old recently developed one..responses to the following would be appreciated, as well as anything else you care to share:

were you taking any medications before it appeared? (i know there’s supposedly no link, but i’m doing my own "research" here ;) ), did you have more than one? after removal, did you ever get another one? what type of procedure did you have? (laser, cryo, etc.)…how long to heal completely? any lasting scar? did insurance cover it? (i realize coverage varies – i just want to get a general consensus)…how much if paid out of pocket?

my son’s is on his face – so small, it’s barely noticeable, but he’s freaking out about it anyway, of course…i’m taking him to his "regular" dermatologist again next month..the really odd thing is, he just saw a different dermatologist yesterday, who said it was so small it wasn’t even worth bothering with, because if he removed it, the *stitch* would leave a scar!!! LMAO –

no "regular" dermatologist would even use a scalpel/stitch on something that tiny – but this guy’s not a "regular" dermatologist – in fact, he’s probably not even seen a cherry angioma in the last 30yrs…as he’s been the Chief of *pediatric* dermatology at our children’s hospital all that time…he only sees newborns and toddlers with *severe* problems…as well as a teenager once in a blue moon (such as my son) – who get referred to him by their "regular" dermatologist after repeated antibiotic therapy for acne fails – because he’s the only dr. left in our entire city who still prescribes accutane to teens.

thankfully, my son had no problems with accutane – and the stuff worked *so* well, you can’t tell he’s ever even had *one* blemish…not one scar, not a thing…and now, he gets this teeny tiny cherry angioma, and he’s acting like the world has ended…he has no idea how *lucky* he is.
